It's an unlikely admission from Danny Cobbs, when he's asked about his career, but it's an honest and candid reply; "Unlike many of my colleagues, I never sought to be a motoring journalist, it just panned-out this way". He's even more truthful about his first commission for a regional lifestyle magazine eight-year's ago, "I was petrified. Up until that point-in-time the most I'd ever written was about three lines on a birthday card. I sat and stared at the computer monitor for a week before I could find an opening sentence".
Since then he has carved out his own special niche by writing feature articles and test reviews which have appeared in the Daily Telegraph, the Sunday Times, and the Independent, most of the motoring publications as well as contributing to numerous UK and global websites.
"I've been incredibly fortunate", says Cobbs, "I've been allowed to view the world from the driving seat of some of the best cars currently on the market. I feel very privileged indeed".
