Steve,
I'd never actually seen it before.
It looks fantastic.

Thanks. Quite a bit of work has gone into it. It is looking good as Tower View did some body work tidying up and a spot of cleaning. Nearly finished the Winter rebuild. Spent Friday fitting new shock absorber mounts for the front suspension. I had bent the turrets and this have been replaced with a stronger bush mounting so that I can remove the shocks and springs without having to disassemble the front suspension

It will have its first shake down at Silverstone on the 28th Feb. Can't wait to see what the 8 throttle bodies are like fully open.

Yep... about another 20ish bhp but the really good news is the torque curve which is pretty flat from 2000 ish to 6500ish. The idling is just so smooth and the lumpyness off-cam has gone. Really pleased.

Steve, you say another 20ish bhp, so what is the total now? and the torque?

I think around 420 ish for both. The upgrade is very very noticeable. Very dependent on the air temp which makes it difficult to know exactly as the dyno stuff I have was done with very hot air.

Few Cerberas produce 420 bhp and 420 ftlbs. In fact I don't think Cerbs produce that much torque at all, about 350 IIRC

Thanks Steve, that is a hell of a motor.

Thanks. Yes it is a bit of fine engineering I have to say. I'm testing at Silverstone on Saturday. and the seson starts in March. Just sorting out the dates. Most spectator friendly sprints will be at Lydden and Goodwood.

PS there are some piccies of the car in action last year and of the 8 throttle bodies in the 520 story and gallery section on Tower View's website. www.t-v-r-services.co.uk.
If anyone is down at Tower View and asks nicely, there is a 90 minute DVD I've put together that has me sprinting at Lydden and Goodwood and a review of the Tasmin Challenge 2002 series.
