Put 99RON Tesco fuel in my Capri. Made it go like the clappers. Tried it with my Saab, and promptly ended up chasing an M3 along the A470 in 4th gear. It's the good stuff!

I have had a couple of tanks of it in our Astra VXR. The car goes even more like the clappers. Although the fuel economy isn't as good (Down from 30 - 27)

They also have it at Tesco opposite Police HQ Bridgend.

I've used it many times in my Atom - did anyone notice me *flash* by

Put 18 litres in my recalcitrant Mustang before it timed out and I have to say it made sod all difference but then I'm using Total 97 anyway. It did seem to increase my fuel consumption though so that Greenergy stuff may be counter-productive.

Also I don't see how it would make a Capri go like the clappers as it hasn't got a computer to take advantage of it, surely?

No, there's no computer on it. But as part of the Stage II refit the timing was advanced so that it only runs on 97 or above. I'm assuming the higher octane simply gave better combustion?

You can get it at the Tesco Express at Chippenham. We have filled the Boxster with it today (89p/litre) and the fuel economy is looking to be improving. The BMW has it in it, but I think it needs some more miles on it before we see any benefit.

The Tesco in Swindon sells it as well and I am not sure if the one in Trowbridge does as well. I meant to look this afternoon but I forgot to go home that way.

Well at 89p a litre you can't go wrong really. Especially when there is now no Optimax/V-Power close to us.

Is there a supply problem?
I stopped by Tesco Culver X only to find that all 99RONs were out of use...

It might be soon, we're all going mad buying the stuff it's so cheap and the fact that it's now available in nearly all Tesco venues.
It's even available at my "local" Tesco so I'm well chuffed now
