Not strictly a "Goodwood Event" so I may be in trouble...B U T

Despite being a staunch supporter of all things Goodwood I had failed to sample "The Kennels" since opening.

All change last friday (whilst recovering from the "better than ever" Christmas Ball) when Sarah & I enjoyed lunch there.

Truly superb. A warm & "gentle" welcome (excellent when jaded), relaxed and just-formal-enough atmosphere, fantastic organic food and extremely excellent value for money.

If you've not been - make time. You will not regret it.

GRRC Membership is just brilliant.

There will be a waiting list however, so best call them and get on it!

As for the Kennels...mmm, mmm. Superb.

I joined the Golf for 2006 and have played once
Bit silly really, out of 50 credits I still have 38 left and not rejoining for 2007 (due to lack of use this year); have to try to use them before 31st December so desperately trying to find a date before the end of the year to get at least get one more round in with a friend, if you are around in December then more than welcome to tag along as would rather see the credits spent than just go to waste. However I can't guarantee that I will be able to find a date free for myself even.

Sinclair

ps. those visiting the Kennels, even if you don't play golf, have a look in the locker rooms - awesome thumbup

Indeed I heard 5,000 but somewhere in that region and 3 to 4 years wait.

Is that for the GRRC, golf or Aero club or altogether? I find the Aero Club a lot better than the GRRC to be honest, though Dad is in the GRRC so we got both clubs covered. Will happily pass on the Golf, and I have to get myself to the Kennels soon!

I'm not a golfer but if you saw the Goodwood Golf Carts...wow is all I can say enough to make you take up the game!

You can join The Kennels on it's own but being a member of any of the Goodwood clubs also gives you full access to The Kennels.

(GRRC, Aero Club, Member at the Racecourse etc.)

If you played againt me, you'd have to lose BIG style, as I'd probably go round with a 120+...LOL!!!

I fear i'd be asked to leave for playing so badly!!

Oooh, that sounds like not a bad idea thumbup

Did you, out of interest, get a new card through or does last years just roll over as long as you renew?

I am sure it's open to non members guests (someone correct me if i am wrong) - so we can all meet & arrive together.
