Living in Austria, but i'll be bringing my bike back over Christmas when I come back to see the folks.

I'll be at the Lookout with my bro-in-law if anyone wants to meet up then!

Hello!

It wasn't me who emailed you but I'm in the area and ride down there sometimes. I'd be up for for meeting up for PH ride sometime. I could do with fixing up / replacing my bike though... Perhaps I'll take the pluge if there's some good riding to be had!

Yup Alex (white van man) you know me, up for it any time as I am in the forest whenever I am back 'home'.
Now which Pistonheads sticker will fit on my bike :-)

Yep, I got that email aswell from a fella called Jules. I'm up there a few times each week, most often in the mornings though while its nice and empty. Having said that I'm up for an evening ride at some point.

Only just getting my head around all of the fantastic bits of single track so a bit of local knowledge could be handy.

Hopefully I will remember to get off road tyres on the bike before hand.

(But will still need to push up the inclines )

Hi guys,

Yep, it was me who mailed you about riding in Swinley, and I'm still up for that at some point. I've been riding in there pretty regularly over the last 9 months and still finding new bits of single track to use - some better than others. For such a relatively flat part of the country, they've done well to get such a mix of trails in there.

How does Sat 18th or Sunday 19th August fit with people, or possibly a weeknight if that makes things easier?

Sundays or week nights are normally the best riding times for me. I really enjoy riding at the lookout there is a great veriaty of tracks to ride i should ride there more as my house is about 3 mins ride from it.

Sunday 19th August then - can anyone else manage that date? White Van Man, do you have a time preference? I can be there pretty much any time that day.

I won't make any promises just yet, but I think I will be up for the 18th, and I might know someone else who would be interested too. Is it a more the merrier kind of thing? Don't want to tread on anyone's toes!

The more the merrier - I'll possibly have one or two PH lurkers with me as well, as long as they don't come up with excuses ;-)

Okay, I can't read a calendar - Sunday 20th was what I meant. Clearly having a blond moment.

Hope you can get your bike fixed in the meantime, let me know if you don't.

Right, unless I injure myself between now and Sunday I will be up for a ride. Shall we arrange to meet somewhere in the car park at 11am then?

How about meeting by the Look Out Centre/Bike hire place at 11am as I'll be cycling in rather than parking there, and the car park gets pretty busy. White Van Man, how's the bike looking?

I'll be on a white Merlin hardtail - is that the MTB equivalent of wearing a carnation in the lapel? ;-)

Location sounds good. I'll be on a black Specialized Rockhopper.
