I'm starting to regret not taking up smoking crack instead of buying watches, as it would probably be less addictive and cheaper biggrin

I've been hankering after these two for a while now, however I can't make up my mind which to go for. I'm after a nice chunky casual watch, and already have an Omega Seamaster Pro as well as a Speedmaster so fancy something a little different.

I really like the simplicity of the IWC, but also really like the look of the Baume et Mercier, although sometimes think it looks a little busy with the 3 sub dials.

Any other suggestions or opinions on these two?

They're two completely different watches! I suppose it depends on whether you like yellow or not.

Well they do both have black rubber straps and tell the time biggrin

I do really like the IWC, but it isn't a million miles away from my Seamaster, hence why the square one appeals. But the IWC just looks too good to ignore...

I prefer the older IWC aquatimer models to the one shown above. That is where my money would go.

Agreed, try and fold an old shape Aquatimer, titanium is even better. Seen a few knocking around in dealers and airports so you should be able to grab a deal. Schiphol seems to be best.

Another vote for the old shape Aquatimer - I'd have the chrono version in a flash!

This one?

I like that. Would like to see one in the flesh though - if anyone has by any chance seen one in a dealer in London then please let me know!

There are plenty around Ed, try the various WoS stores in town. Make sure you get at least 20% off.

Oooh - now that I like!! I'm guessing that any left in stores will be a year or two old now? It looks like my weekend is now going to be taken up scouring around watch shops biggrin

Yep, they are F'ing lush. If I hadn't already bought two this year I would be tempted smile

IWC. It will retain more of its value if you want to flip it.

Going through the same thing, tried on the B&M and it just felt cheap compared to the IWC.

When I first started looking I thought I preferred the old IWC as the strap kinda looked more integrated but I just love the chunkiness of the new one. That's where my money would go.

With that for casual wear and the Dornbluth for smarts I think it's just greedy that you've got the Broadarrow so I'll be generous and take it off your wrist for you smile

Thanks for the offer Matt, but I'm not sure I can afford the postage to Oz biggrin

I've just called Watches of Switzerland, and they don't have any of that model in stock in any of their stores apparently frown Does anyone know of anyone else that might have one? Google doesn't really come up with anything...

www.watches.co.uk and www.blowers-jewellers.co.uk occasionally have the previous model Aquaracer Chrono for sale ...

Failing that, I'm sure Chrono24.com will have some, but you'd be buying from a seller abroad. I have never used Chrono24.com or know anyone who has, so see what others suggest first smile

I would write more, but I'm on my phone!

Thanks Kris - I'll keep an eye out on those sites, although I have however managed to find one of these:

It's the Limited Edition Cousteau version, and is a bit more money, but I think I prefer it to the standard ones, so will be taking a look over the weekend!
