At least when compared to the Airbus A380 And before anyone says that the 747 is much further in the distance,they are both on the same runway nose to nose.
It would be interesting to compare the power of Spruce Goose vs the jets (if you can convert horsepower into pounds thrust?) - it probably explains why the former only made one hop.
It's no wonder we are paying so much for our air travel and carriers are making such losses. They're not going to get much flying done like that are they.
well seeing as the Trent 900 engines on the Lufthansa A380 are 4.55m in length and the GEnx on the 747 are 4.69m in length it proves that this photo is BS. The engines on this A380 look at least 1.5 times longer than the 747 which mean the rest of the aircraft must be too.
BS of the highest order. I see them parked up next to each other every time I go to work, and I can assure you there isn't much in it. The A380 is an ugly monkfish with the payload of a couple of beagle-pups tied together, however.
