London Bridge - Find me a good pub for lunch please!
Discussion
I'm meeting my parents on Sunday near London Bridge in SE London on Sunday for some lunch, and I'm trying to find a good pub/restaurant that fits the bill
Requirements:
- Main courses between £8-£10
- Not likely to be full of drinkers / tourists
- Lots of tables
Bonus:
- Nice river view
Anywhere that is walking distance from London Bridge station is good so we can go as far as St Katherines Docks / Shad Thames to the east and Waterloo to the west.
Ideas please from people that know the area! Cheers!

Royal Oak at Borough. A great pub. Owned by Harvey's brewery so the beer is good and whilst I've not personally eaten there, this suggests the food is good too... http://www.fancyapint.com/pubs/pub1228.php
Another nearby gem is The Lord Clyde http://www.fancyapint.com/pubs/pub1229.php

I like Wagamamas and opposite that, theres a couple of good pubs. Also spend a couple of hours in Borough Market...best food in the area but not quite waitress service!
fk that, the last time I went in the pub opposite Wagamama's, they made you queue in a line to order drinks, you couldn't just take a space at the bar. Wasn't even that busy either. They'd run out of real ale too, but didn't tell you until they'd poured the other drinks in your round.
Bunch of lads walked out leaving four pints of lager on the counter - which had been poured first - but couldn't get two pints of ale for the other guys in their group. The Bar Manager went ape and ran out after them, shouting that she'd report them to the Police for non-payment (the lagers were completely untouched on the car). Lads politely told her to 'fk off' and carried on walking.

Thanks for this. It actually jogged my memory about a place next door called the Chop House. I just checked their website and the "bar menu" is exactly the sort of thing I am after. Table booked!http://www.browns-restaurants.co.uk/menu-butlerswh...
Thanks to everyone in this thread for the suggestions. I might actually try out the Lord Clyde on another day. It looks interesting.
Chop House would have been my first suggestion. Used to live just over it and spend many an evening in the bar (7 years ago now though).
Another to try just a bit further down is the Blue Print in the Design Museum - bit more left field menu wise, but good scoff.
If you like Indian food, the Bengal Clipper on the backstreet is also well worth a punt.
The Dickens in St Katherines is grim by comparison to all 3 (and 100s of other places!).

German beer, german food (but good!) and its in a sort of cellar. V near the station, but a bit pricey. No river view because there's no windows but the sausages are Awesome.
