Hi, Just something I was thinking about while washing the dishes today.
Average bands with great names, two i came up with...

Dananananakroyd.

Gaye bikers on acid.

Ash - A few great songs, but on the whole pretty average. Fantastic name though.

REO Speedwagon.

The name just reeks of POWER and SPEED and THE OPEN HIGHWAY.

When the reality is MOR country ste, driving an AMC Pacer. Disappointing.

The Killers.

The name promises speed metal murder death kill by power chords and flat fifth notes with dropped D tunings. When the reality is background BBQ muzak played on patios countrywide, accompanied by the slurp of Corona with a lime slice in the neck. Rubbish.

Ah yes..Killers.Just don't get them and all the attendant fuss. They took their name from one of the best bands though.New Order's "Touched by the hand of God" video featured our Manc heroes dressed as a spoof hairmetal band called..the Killers.
