Good to have it back. I'm contsantly amazed at how stupid some people can be (although that fake ambulance was quite convincing, it was funny watching his story 'unravel').

I wonder if the interceptors receive any payment from the shows producers/makers. If not, seems like a good 'union' to me.

1. Cops get fast cars (which they obviously love) to chase down the crims, with a better chance of capture/arrest than, say, a 5 series.
2. We get good telly and more crims off the streets.
3. The production costs of such a show can't be that high, even if they funded one of the base cars.

'Tis also a good advert for the cars. scratchchin It would not surprise me if the BIB received a good discount on the cars.

Shame they don't give a update of 'what happened next' as they do in Traffic Cops - I'd love to know how many hours of community service the car thief (that crashed spectcularly) got....

I'm sorry that teen with the German plates was right, that copper was being a dick.

As a 40yo I'd expect youngsters to give attitude but that cop was just being a twonk and just winding that guy up, he should have known better. He forgets that that young kid pays his wages will get older and maturer and remember that "Knob head copper" for a long time.

Also, why were they adding that silly car noise on top of the audio when that EVO was on!

I think it's called artistic licence -brrrm brrrm...hehe
The show is nowhere near as good as it once was IMO. It would seem most of the criminals are let off with a warning. Mind, I think the chap who sold was trying to sell the bales of hay for £15 a pop should be done for extortion.

The kid failed the attitude test from the off. I don't think the copper noticed the plates until the kid started acting like a pilloock. He asked for a ticket with that attitude. This kind of thing is what is wrong with the country - no respect for authority. The kid should have been "yes sir, no sir, absolutely sir" as they do in the US. Instead he was doing a Kevin the teenager impression.

And this whole 'Downloading' thing they do when getting 'data' on a car/van/copper.....pointless and cringeworthy.

I agree with both of you.
Kid was being a pr!ck, and deserved everything he got, but the copper made himself out to be very petty indeed, and asking for an apology was just puerile.

When the kid started giving him grief, the copper should have just 'gone to town' on the car, checking EVERYTHING on it but without resorting to petty banter.

The copper was trying to teach the kid that he should respect the Police, but the way he went about it is likely to have the opposite effect.

I did like it last night when the narrator said the 4wd transmission put out nearly 300bhp. Impressive, for a gearbox.

Indeed. I have regularly heard Police sirens during a pursuit after 11pm.

I truly wish they would stop dubbing engine noise over the actual car noise, in the first episode they show the revs climbing and played the noise of revs dropping off FFS.

Enough of the quotes and wooshes....

I was of the understanding that the police (and ambulances, fire engines) cannot sound sirens in built up areas after 11.00pm.

But, as the man in the orthopeadic shoes said, I stand to be corrected.
