How many times have you said that to yourself. I know I did. Then it happened and I lost my wife to cancer. The Sue Ryder post on this forum is for my wife.
I am not prepared to believe that any body can have a moral issue against giving money to such a wonderfull cause. Help me help them. Please. Dig deep and contribute even just £2.00.

Sincerely
Steve Mitchell ( Mad Mitch.)

Jesus. I've just read your other posts with pictures of your wife. So difficult to express adequate condolences. I had a "scare" with my wife contracting a near-fatal blood disease not 6-months after I married her. For the first 4-weeks of her stay in hospital I faced her not coming home to me and I couldn't continue with my life. I couldn't work. I just got up, went to the hospital, watched her, and went home. Sometimes I ate.

She did get better and we got on with our lives, and today we're very happy. In your situation I think I would simply cease to function. I have seen the smallest glimpse of your current situation/life and I feel heart-wrenchingly sad for you.

Thanks guys. Its been a trying time and somedays couldnt even face pulling back the curtains.....I never knew a person could feel so very very sad. Now i know that I have to dust myself down and TRY function normaly which is toughest thing I have ever done. But you know what, Sue made me the person I am and because of that she gave me the strength to get through this. Even now shes looking after me.
Thank you my friends

Sincerely

Steve

Hi Mitch, I personally give to St Lukes Hospice in Sheffield who do the same thing. My mum was there in 1999, and worryingly, if tests go pearshaped, my dad could be there this year.

keep up the good work and my thoughts are with you.

Steve, more than one member of my family has been helped by the same folks that looked after your wife - they're great people. One of my Uncles (who's wife spent her last weeks there a few years ago) has done quite a bit to raise money for them ever since. It's a brilliant and well known cause - I'm sure you'll hit your target. Take care.

Mitch. What can i say....Its so sad that we dont appreciate what these people do until in a sad and painfull situation. Rest assured though, there can be no better place for our loved ones to spend thier last days than being cared for by the angels that work there.......Always feel indebted to them.

Take care my friend
Steve.

Such a sad thing to happen. My thoughts are with you.

I'll admit i've lead a bit of a selfish life and to be honest its probably because I couldn't handle things like this, cowardly way of living I know.

Hope you work through this and by the looks of things you are already turning your energies into positive things for others. Good luck.
