Worst aging cars?
Discussion
There are quite a lot of cars out there that have aged gracefully, but I saw a couple of Ioniq 5’s today that looked outdated already, I thought they looked good initially - but my opinion has definitely changed.
I can’t say the same for the likes of the EV6, I think it’ll stand the test of time a lot better
For a bit of discussion, what other cars out there aged the worst in your opinions?

Interesting or unusual shapes usually sit well with me longer term, the Ioniq 5 has that angular look (Alfa SZ) vibe going on which I like and I think that it will still look fresh to me in a few years.
Whereas Tesla 3 or Y both already look old and tired designs I think. The Xiaomi offering currently in the press makes the Model 3 look like an unadventurous design from a previous time.

10 year old cars
it goes like this
0-5 - car looks good, or at least acceptable
5-7/8 - the decline begins
8 - 12 - god that looks so cringe/old fashioned
13-17 - hmm maybe that isn't so bad, I never used to like them but they look aright don't they?
17 - 20 - hey this old model looks really good, so clean, such a classic design. I remember when it was launched, it really moved things forward.
ref - porsche 996, elise s1s, probably some bmws, ford focus, any car that has ever been styled and isn't just a blob (like Mercedeses or whatever).

EVs seem to be the worst candidates, the odd looks age fast as the batteries degrade.
So the ones that the batteries still have full battery health still look fresh? What an odd statement.
Hardly surprising that the EV hate began almost immediately though, literally any excuse to take a pop.

Any Nissan Juke. They get worse every time I see one.
I'm the opposite, I think they are now looking quite funky and different.Aging certainly isn't uniform across designs.
The comparison that immediately comes to mind is the Mk1/2 Mondeo and the Xantia - the former, a boringly zeitgeist design, looked decrepit before the production run was even over, the later was handsome and timeless right up to the point that plastic body trim disappeared in the 00s.
I suspect that exposes a wider truth; designs that are generic and of there age age quickly, whereas time is kinder to successful examples of slightly left-field design.
