Discussion
Just spoken to Adrian, looks like a few people are going to this.

With good weather looks like it could be a cheap fun day out.
I believe so far Adrian, twerlie and Phil are going, I will wander down but not in the Noble, will be in the new shiny Hybrid

I think I said it sounded interesting, but having a screw in the rear tyre it wouldn't be clever.http://www.northwealdmotorsport.co.uk/drwebroot/dr...

Sorry Phil I stand corrected. You could always bring the noble out of moth balls.
No problem! It is tempting I have to say. Get the Noble out? Hhmmm, hhhmmm....would be cool to see the GT run though! Can't you get the screw plugged?

That's the plan, but Roush couldn't fit me in until the 19th. Problem is most places (and me) don't know how to jack up the GT, and also half the type places don't have a big enough balancer...There is a really good place in Bishops Stortford called Performance tyres that can do upto 22" rims IIRC. The guy that did mine is very good and even made sure he lined up the PZERO bit of the tyre with the valve! Not an easy task with big wheels and tyres. He fits alot of tyres for all types of supercars! Might be worth a try? If not, i'm sure it would be fun to see at least 3 Nobles ripping up the tarmac!

Great day out! My first run i managed a 12:01...... then i did a 11:85 @ 125mph on my second run... Didn't bother trying agian as i didn't want to brake the car.
That's not bad at all. What was the surface like? The surface was not as bad as i thought but could have been better! I think with better tarmac i could nock off half a second maybe?
It was a shame you didn't come along!

It would have been fun, but on the flip side, my kitchen floor is finished! The surface was not as bad as i thought but could have been better! I think with better tarmac i could nock off half a second maybe?

Half a second? Hhhmm depends on where you think the time was going. If it was hard to get the car off the line which I believe it was then 1/2 should be well within reach. ETA of 120+ shows once you get going grip isn't too much of a problem. No wheelspin on gear changes (2nd to 3rd)/

Twerlie,Check this out

and see if the wheel power it calculates is close to the rolling road measurement for your car.... I'd estimate 2500lbs for your car?

It calculates to 381rwhp which is about 15-20 more than rolling road measurement for my car......BUT sinse the RR session i have fitted the pro alloy intercooler and the hard pipes, which might have made up the small difference in figures? Plus i was not given my speed trap time but i read my speedo saying 125, which could be anything from 120-125? It would be good to put her on the rollers again to see if the nubers add up?
I'd say more like 120 or slightly less. At 180mph mine was reading just under 200!120mph gives you 337bhp at the wheels.
