After having lots of fun in my 200sx S14a, I decided to go all sensible and chop it in for a 330ci. (well, sort of sensible. I am only 20 years old so most of income is disposable biggrin)

Took a while to find a nice one as most have fallen into the hands of people who don't even realise their car is rear drive; black the windows, black the wheels and have the seat on its lowest setting.

I was also adamant on getting a totally standard Coupe with a manual box, xenons, M-tech trim, and a few extra toys.

So I was rather happy at the weekend when I collected this, in also my favourite BMW colour, Imola red smile

I have to say its the best road car I have ever owned. Its not the quickest or even have the most grip. But its just so balanced and you feel so confident whenever you want to put your foot down.

Its way way wayyyyyy more useable than any of my previous Jap cars, but then on the motorway turns into a superb cruiser.

Whoever says these are a baby M3 are just kidding themselves. The engine is lazy and the whole car feels quite soft (too me). But nevertheless, its an amazing street car.

Super pleased smile

I see one that is identical to yours every day on my way to work, but he has BBS alloys on his example.

Nice motor! Enjoy! thumbup

Also to have ad a 330ci and a S14a by 20 is mental!

Don't encourage me biggrin

Blimey, you've owned quite some cars in your short time driving!

Nice BMW, I'm a Jap man myself so really like S14's.

How does this engine compare to the Mondeo you had?

The Elise is owned by my dad but we both work on it and track it. I figured having an ugly tow bar on my car doesn't look that homo aslong as its towing a Lotus biggrin

I actually find it very similar to the ST24, except this revs faster. I don't think the mondeo had that much torque for a V6 so I can't really make a good comparison to V engines smile

Very nice. Although the headlights look awfully yellow for xenons?

I did just notice that, must be my camera setting. In person they are ridiculously blue, probably just 6000k.

Very nice, good colour on it and totally standard. That's the way to own these imho (although i will admit a set of staggered LMs would be very nice on it).

Looks wonderful, as someone 5years older then you I'm very jealous! Certainly beats driving around in a 3-4 years newer focus/golf for similar price.

I agree, the only thing I would consider would be either LM's or M3 CSL wheels but I think it would then need to be dropped about 15mm and tyres stretched slightly so would rather just stick OEM. Handles good right out the box smile

Sure is, the best colour wink

I like all the sport colours really, but if I drove a black one of these at my age people would think I'm the local drug lord hehe

hehe

Yours stands out because it's not black! Yours is a bit different which is nice. What model year is your car?

EDIT: Just looked in your garage seen it's 2000.

Its actually 2001, not sure why I typed 2000 in my garage. My own private plate threw me off hehe

nice, really like the imola red. It took me while to find one which hadn't been blacked out and lowered.

Driving one at 20 though? good lord, your insurance must be sky high - mines over £1k a year and im 31!!
