Mate has his eye on the above being sold at Nick Whale for £64,950. Asked for my advice - I'm pretty clueless about them - although think a bit pricey but said I 'know' some people who might have an opinion - cue you lot!
Cheers

sounds like a good price from a dealer.

Tell your friend to buy mine, 60k today, or 62k in September after it has its big service and a warranty added, 02 comfort silver/black (I fancy the 550 at Verdi's!)

Seems too expensive to me, GT2's aren't that far away from equivalent Turbo money, the trade offered £49k for my 0202 24k high spec mint 996TT! I know the GT2 was way more expensive when new, but is such a specialist market! It doesn't have the fabulous handling finess of a GT3 on track (just too much torque for RWD & suspension that hard) or the mile eating surefooted Gt road manners of a 996TT which is also a "drivers car when pushed". So it is neither fish nor fowl.
BUT for a sheer adrenaline pump saved for weekend blats......very tempting & pretty bullet proof!

Not sure if this is the ex car of a pistonheader and also the one that starred in the topgear road test with Tiff driving. Is it an early red GT2 (one of the first) with steel brakes. If so theres some of the cars history in the archives of this forum.

The car you're thinking of was a clubsport. This one is a comfort.

Thanks for the imput guys. Yes this one's a comfort model. I've told mate to make his own mind up on price and then if everything else is as it should be just go for it. Think red would make a nice change too. Must admit if I didn't have GT3 on order I'd go for a GT2 myself - it's an awful lot for not a lot isn't it? Reckon it's the cheapest way for him to get his weekend buzz - he's a power freak as opposed to a track day warrior. Impressed that this didn't turn into the usual GT2/GT3/TT slanging match too!

it's not my old car. as daz says this is comfort, mine was clubsport.

rsj sold my car earlier this year for best part of 60k. on the basis that the cars are the same age and almost same mileage, i would suggest this car is overpriced by £5k.

....i have been keeping a close eye on the GT2 prices as i'm looking to move into one. I saw this one advertised and instantly thought it was 5k over priced. For that vintage and mileage i would have thought 57-60k.
