Suggestions welcome in relation to the above budget/theme-
Some ground rules :-) to play along with :-

Supercar performance and handling, something you can do fast road/odd trackday maybe
Fun use only, no commuting requirements
Doesn't have to be that practical, 2 seater / 2 door sports is fine.
Depreciation friendly, not expecting anything to rise in value, but that would be a bonus of course.
One car, not two or three cheaper toys to cover all bases.

Cars definitely discounted-
Aston Martin- nice but no thanks
Audi R8 V10 - proper supercar performance, but had an R8 already
Lotus Emira- not really in the supercar bracket, too many teething troubles but love the look of them
Classic older cars- not looking at anything historic particularly given max budget.
Servicing - main dealer or specialist readily available- this has probably discounted the newer NSX on the grounds the only service agents are in London, a real shame.
3.8GT3 models with engine reliability issues discounted, don't want the risk/hassle.

Possibles - something along the lines of a 991.2 4 litre GT3 is an obvious possibility given the above musings, open to interesting suggestions....

If you're not too picky you can get a 458 for that money, which is exactly that I would do.

Budget creep is a bit of a no go, am keeping a keen eye on prices of a few interesting cars but that would pretty much be it as its cash and not taking on additional debt etc, tempting as budget creep can be!

Yep 458s have taken a hit lately probably mainly due to powertrain warranties expiring.

Is your GT4 a 981 or 718? 718 streets ahead of the 981 imo and c85% of a 991.2 GT3 at 70% of the cost.

991.2 GT3 still the daddy of course but you may have to compromise on mileage and or spec for your £120k even though prices have eased of late. Sold my 1 owner 18 18 8k miler CS manual (pccbs clubsport lift carbon good spec etc etc) in May this year for £143500 probably lost £10k since then).

The odd scare story of very expensive faults and their warranty being a "must have" is my only concern. In the right colour they do tick all the boxes.

570 Spider, good low mileage cars appear quite often. Carbon tub so no scuttle shake, fantastic performance but also a good tourer with reasonable luggage space and will hold their value.
Not much else will come close for value for money, soft top, carbon tub 0-100 in 6 seconds.
Try one you won't be disappointed if your a real petrolhead.

maybe strange to you, but Donkervoort makes some fantastic cars, yes not cheap but great, with a 5 cill audi specialy changed for donkervoort, superlight, lots of power to weight, special and rare, holding the money pretty good.

You could by one of their D8 GTO series, say GTO-RS-40-JD70-premium

example which I myself really like, but this one is to expensive, and ow, 2 weeks ago I try sit in one, better had not done that, it feels great, ok in and out such car a bit difficult when getting older, but boy, what a car and ow, they do very good on track as well.

their older models did not felt that good, smaller were your feet are, so not so fine, but the GTO models are wider and 'perfect'

not sure how this picture open big enough (ah double click), but on my phone very good, see the colour carbon in big and the race tech interior and carbon wheels on this one. weight about 700kg power 420hp with great sound from the 5cill.

You always mention that make, are you on their payroll by any chance? :-)
Possibly one of the ugliest make of cars I've seen lol, have to pass thank you though!

981, but I wouldn't want a 718 GT4 it's not a big enough step up unfortunately. The GT4 is almost perfect as a fast road car/ odd trackday hero, if mine had 500bhp I wouldn't have even started this thread. That sort of power with this chassis and brakes would be peak fun, hence considering a 4 litre GT3, they tick so many boxes, albeit some prettier supercars around within budget. GT4 RS would be a shout if people weren't so insistent at buying them to flip lol

If £120k is the absolute limit then a nice 570S Spider looks the obvious choice…crazy quick, rides v well and looks the part. Yes I’d advise a warranty for the first 12 months at least. Gallardo Perf Spyder around that level too very rare so good ones don’t come up v often, fairly old tech now when compared to a McLaren, epic noise of course. I know you said no AM but quite a few Vanquish S cars under £120k now, really sublime engine in those.

Well that hadn't crossed my mind tbh, it's not something that would normally be on the radar, certainly got some speed and noise!
