The Formula Ford 2000 Race late Saturday afternoon has over 30 cars in it - same no as 2CVs race but shorter (in time on the track for clarity ). This is the other big event for the weekend. Look out for the yellow car - No 28. Feel free to say hello in the paddock if you are walking around.

Jason.

If an alien landed on earth and demanded that I describe a Formula Ford to him, I think I can safely say that "the same as a 2CV but shorter" would not be the first thing to spring to mind! laugh

Good luck in the race!

Good point. Post suitably amended to make clear that I am referring to time on the track. Although, to be fair, a FF2000 is probably shorter than a 2CV.....

Jason - we'll be there to cheer you on - absolutely.

On a side-note, it would be cool to know all the PHers that are running in the various events over the weekend. This way we can call come say hello and cheer you on the track, etc, etc .......

..and also probably lighter to lift when parked in the gravel at Druids during the Brands FFF. There's not many cars that you can carry out without waiting for a crane!

Well actually, I got pushed out of Druids. A trick with the FF2000 cars, the oil pump belt is exposed in the bottom of the car. If you come out of deep gravel, don't run the engine without checking the belt.......Don't ask me how I know.....Needed a new engine anyway.....

All the best in the race, am sure we'll be there cheering you on. Might have a wander around the pits as well.

I'll be running in the BMW Kumho at about 4:00m on Saturday in the peppermint green M3. A few of the Le Mans guys may remember it from Houx roundabout last year

yes

Car 30 - PH #1
David Edmonston, better known as Piston Ted of the well know website Pistonheads.com, is leading the driver lineup of this rookee entry.
Predict - Finish second half of field.

Car 31 - PH #2
This car is hired from Whitwell Motorsport in North Yorkshire. Meticulous preperation will ensure a smooth run for this again rookee team. This is one of three cars that Whitwell Motorsport will be crewing. Although a hire car the team expects that so long as the wheels are turning a good result will ensue. Predict - Finish higher than sister car in PH entry.
