Ok I've just broken my crappy plastic drip tray trying to refit it !! Poxy thing !!!
so I've just been down to the carbon company to see if they can make a new one , not a copy it will be my design , I will have to pay to have a mould made which is not going to be cheap so indeed to know if it's with the investment .

Cost looks like £180 to £250 per tray would anyone be interested ?
I'm talking about show finish gloss carbon as the wing ends and splitters .

What do you guys think ?

A word of warning. Nobles are nailed together at the front with the accuracy of a one eyed chimp with a club hammer. The reason the bendy drip tray 'worked' on most cars is it flexed so much the old 1/2 inch here or there didn't matter.....

H guys great response !! I have just spent. Hour with the mould making guys and so far looks good !!
Thanks for the input Phil , I'm trying to make the unit so it can be tweaked to fit so hopefully it will fit all !!!

Hi gadge No plans to do scoops although I am considering a new radiator surround and the back blanking plate but best get one thing sorted first !!!

Hi Tux,

Another point is that on some cars(mine included) the wiper motor arms hit the tray, but as it is so bendy it just moves with them. So might be worth a bit of extra clearance in that area.
Will these be wet lay or autoclave ?

Is that so you can wrap it?

Goodwork as always Si.

I might go with a gelcoat fibre-glass one too, until the winter budget!

Gloss carbon could be a bit showy for me, and the glass fibre version would probably be a bit cheaper and easier to remake should I break it somehow (providing the mould is available). Can't see why the same mould can't be used for glass fibre?
