Go on a straight smooth road at around 40mph and tell me if the front end is nodding up and down..

I would try 12 front 10 back from soft..

The springs came fitted to the shock absorbers ,I have now dropped the suspension by 10mm and changed the settings to 12 front rear 10 ,the car is fine until i get to 40mph then the front end nods up and down ,it`s a joke ..

Just been out on a run ,with 165mm rear 145mm front to the triangular plate .

Set at 12front rear 10

My findings are the backend bottoms out (scrapes on the exhaust)

Front nods like a bcensoredt "making the car feel unsafe"

The conclusion is the springs are to soft and the shockabsorbers are rubbish.

I sent an email to gaz ,no reply to date .

Contacted ACT he as forwarded the problem to the Gaz TVR specialist ,my reply was "set the front at 12"

These springs seem softer than the Nickels

Im not going to mention names but i have received a number of emails from Chimaera owners who are far from happy with these shock absorbers.

This is spoiling my enjoyment .

Im not going under the car again ,i want action from GAZfurious

Its eather sorted quickly or im going to throw them through the Gaz factory window and demand a set of MONO TUBES free for all the inconveniencefurious

Daz, did you not have an invite from Derek to see him at Growl where he would look at the problem? I think a phone call to him may be a better way forward than typing here?

Stupid question but...You definitely have the fronts on the front and vice versa.. The tuscan gaz shocks were very similar front to back.

Daz.

There is a possibility that you have the fronts on the rear and viseversa.

Did you fit them?

Or the springs may have been fitted on the wrong damper.

Or,...what poundage, (is that a word?) springs have you fitted?

Offer still stands, come down for some beers and a set up.

Hi Daz,

this has been suggested before. Post some pics of what you have fitted at each end and that should clear it up.

Only ACT and the other specialist will know the spring rating ..
