We've all seen the latest trend on here with watch pics showing a steering wheel in the background and, makes sense as it's a motoring website but it's getting a bit boring.

Let's see some some watches in some interesting locations, the more random the better.

GW 3000 at Le Mans 2011, going by the time on the watch the cars you can see would have been on their formation lap smile

Originally taken for another forum, but kind of fits this thread, oh, and we were on the 23rd floor!

.........and taken around the same time although, not strictly a watch

It's my holiday watch so only gets used for a few weeks a year.

Plus points
It doesn't look flash so less likely to get mugged (main reason I got a holiday watch).
Light and comfortable.
Altimeter and Compass are fun.

Minus Points
Battery lasts 3 months or so (but easy to replace)
Altimeter and compass are quite inaccurate.
Thermometer only works when off your wrist.

All in all, it does the job but I wouldn't go mad for it.

Ah, 'Jocke', my favourite watch photographer. Always interesting, and very well shot.

I to use mine as a holiday/weekend watch. I love mine I have to say. It's big at 50mm but very comfortable and light on the wrist. The altimeter and barometer work fine for what I need, and the storm alarm is a novel idea. I have found it gives you some notice of an impending rain shower. The battery is roughly 1.5 years old in mine, there was an issue with battery life in the earlier versions, serial number on the back will give you an indication of when it was made. I believe Suunto customer service is second to none, although hopefully I will not need it.
