Alfa 155....project 'lets go faster'
Discussion
A fine place to start, reasonably solid 155 twin-spark, all i have done so far is hoovered the interior and checked the fluids and popped on some OZ multispokes.
The plan; hmmmm, a change of motive power methinks, probably from the Fiat stable, with a turbo,
strip the inside to within an inch of it's life, rollcage, (found a clever chap in lancaster that will build me one, i would say he is ok as he builds spaceframe chassis's) a race seat/steering wheel, better brakes (see fiat stable above) then drive the arse of it, hopefully with a flame spitting exhaust......damn this mid-life crisis..

Pretty sure we passed you on our way to Le Mans this year, you were with a selection of Alfas at a services outside Alencon. We were in a Mazda 787B liveried Transit Van!
Assume that was for me?....Yep, took the GT Junior to LeMans this year, was in convoy with a black Spider. Made it all the way there and 3/4 of the way back, last leg of journey was on a flat bed AA truck from Guildford! Thanks for spotting, don't remember seeing the liveried transit although it sounds unforgettable! Pics please...

Hang on? alfa did a 2.5 V6 version of the 155 as well, so a 3.0 should slot right in no? the 24v one will be more difficult given it's bigger heads, but still.
I know, i have a 155 2.5 V6 as well, the 24v/12v 3.0's physically fit, all the bits are on the wrong side though, it is certainly possible just fiddly..Ooh i really like 155's. I remember my neighbour had one years back, absolutely cherished it polished it every couple of days and used it for sunny days only. I also remember being woken up by fire engine sirens at 7am one morning as it had caught fire when he started it!
However don't let that put you off lol that looks great in police colours!

Odd, to be fair i havent studied the engine bay of a 155 in detail, but you'd expect a 3.0 to be nearly identical to the 2.5 unit, considering they are based on the same block.Anyway, messing with a 155 should be fun, wish i had the shop/resources to do something mad like that.
