A bit early you say...?

Oh yes - northerners, get ready for possible snow in them thar hills this week. There's a cold blast coming in and there really could be some snow on the peaks. I believe Ben Nevis has already had it's first dusting last week?

Frosts in the North and West also possible this week - so sloe collectors get ready smile

Amateur forecasters are getting jumpy about a major cold event in about 2 weeks time...

I'll get it in early - Q7s, X5s, X6s are crap in the snow, yadda yadda yadda, everyone must buy a Land Rover / Range Rover as they are the only vehicle in creation that can traverse snow, yadda yadda, yadda, I saw a Q7 and an X5 in a hedge as I drove past in my Range Rover, blah blah blah blabla

It will be interesting to see what we get up here in the Scottish Highlands as the last winter was not bad at all. First winter with a RWD car, still not convinced about winter tyres. Lets hope I don't have to quote this with a bent car in a few months time! hehe

Well, I've been putting off getting new M&S tyres for the Pajero. I think I'll sort that out this week!

Of course I can only comment on balmy Cardiff, don't recall any snow of note last winter, of course the 2 before were snowy, but prior to that about 30 years of nothing more serious than a light dusting of flakes to break up the weeks and weeks of drizzle.

I'm, prepared to stick my neck out and say we'll get sod all again this winter.

I'll go with the opposite. Aren't we in a 7 year weather pattern at the moment, which brings wetter summers/winters? If so, I'll go with us having a good dump of snow at least once. Preferebly not around the time MrsPork is 'due' - dont want to deliver the pup at home with phone guidance! hehe

Canada Goose gear cracks me up, it seems to be hipster to buy from their uber Arctic spec range, and results in people broiling alive in their own juices in huge padded jackets that aren't even designed to work in temperatures over -10.

I suppose that I should test fit my snow chains whilst its still warm and sunny! I have a set of skinny Boxster wheels at the ready, but I might just fit the 6" x 16"s at the rear.

"Stand well back and get ready to catch" Pretty much covers it I think.

ETA forgot to say, hot water and towels. Not sure why, but they always ask for those in the films.
