Eric Joyce MP Arrested
Discussion
Very sad, really.
Although he was, obviously, of the Red Tie persuasion, I remember him being quite an eloquent, informed and committed politician in his early days - but those days are far behind him now.
It would appear he hasn't managed to address the personal issues he mentioned after the last incident, and if this arrest leads to a conviction, hard to see how he could expect to remain as an MP until 2015.

The Sports and Social Club was said to be packed for its regular karaoke night at the time of the incident.

And next up Gordon Brown singing Frankie Valli's Can't Take My Eye Off You
Sorry, that's terrible, unoriginal and dated - but it is almost 4am. I'm sure you can all come up with better!

Hang on - this was a House of Commons bar, and they were having a Karaoke night?!
It could lead to a potentially interesting thread on what songs the politicians would sing.
d,(please take my points)''[tongueincheek]Obviously the availability of cheap booze in the Commons bar caused this - I think they need to slap a minimum charge on drinks in there that will discourage this sort of behaviour[/tongueincheek]
Well, they seem to think that approach will work in the rest of the country, so why not there ?
