Anyone going?
I realise it's "only" 6 hours and a way to travel from the UK, but it's Spa.

Only 3 hrs from the Chunnel. I went 2 years ago via a night out in Leuven (well recommended!) and we lucked out with perfect weather. Last years was miserable.
Get a hotel though as there are NO camping facilities other than chucking a tent up in the parking areas. When we went the parking grass was over a foot deep. Made for a comfy bed however!
If the weather is good then it's a lovely event. Spent the six hours slowly walking round track seeing it from all angles. There were plenty of beer shacks on the way round

As it's only 1h20 north from me, Guy, it'd be silly not to, really.
I've been to Leuven many, many times - mates went to Uni there, and I'm a Stella lover.
I won't bother camping - I've a big car I can put the seats flat in the back and sleep there, which I will do so I can have some beers during the day.

This year going with two crews - both with caravans. Been to Spa about 25 times - the town is nice and we are staying at campsite (6th or 7th time) called Spa d'Or which we find very handy.
A couple of years ago we were 3 people - now we are 7 -nuf said
25€ - only snag is that the support programme is now very bad... another interesting thing is that race is on Saturday and finishes rather late in the dusk... plenty of time on the Sunday to do sightseeing. Unfortunately the chocolate factory in Eupen is not open on a Sunday - but there is a really nice micro brewery (and restaurant) which we will re-visit instead and going round the old circuit is a must.
I have made a bit of a circuit guide (for private use only) send me a PM and I will forward an electronic copy..

I'm also going to Spa this year. Oddly, I ordered the tickets via the Spa WEC site (http://www.spafiawec.com/) 2 weeks ago, and they are still listed as "Processing". I have sent them a mail to poke and find what out what is occurring but no answer as yet.
Has anyone else had a similar delay?

I don't know of any, but booking.com brought up a number with vacancies within 10km of the track for the Sat night

Output Flange: I honestly don't know. I haven't looked at the Spa site/details that much. I expect there will be SOME shuttles or such running, but if they're anything like those at Silverstone, you're better off walking.
Monsterlime: That's good to know that tickets are on their way via email then. The site, even in French, is pretty poor at telling you exactly what you'll get! I knew the parking (read: "camping" as I will sleep in my car so I don't drive home on Sat after beers) was free at the moment, too.

So, with this being my first visit to Spa, can anyone give any pointers on where the best viewing spots are?
We tend to start at one of the grandstands and then walk around the whole circuit... virtually every corner has a classic viewing point... Ok here are my tips... going round the circuit in driving direction..
Start finish grandstand...
'grassy knoll' on the outside near la source... tricky to get to and with a bit of a drop with no fence... careful
Evit la source inside the paddock - behind a fence though
Grandstands near eau rouge
on top of eau rouge
along kemmel straight...
braking zone for les combes
braking zone for rivage plus inside rivage
pouhon
fagnes on the outside - tricky to get to
chicane
