May 10th Silverstone Test Day

Just trying to book the test day for Silverstone, but both circuits are available and im trying to work out which one we will be racing on so i can book the right one.

I will be racing the chimera that the fine lads at str8six are putting together for me, so will be my first season, and incidentally my first race.

Booked in and can barely contain myself. Excited doesn't cover it, but also full of trepidation as this will be the cars first shakedown following a comprehensive range of works and more importantly, it'll be my virgin experience in a Tuscan Challenge car Be gentle with me!

You'll be fine Mark!. My first ever race was at Silverstone in biblical strength rain! You'll really enjoy it once you have done your first grid start

Right, I'm all booked up for the 10th - forgot to book a garage though. Does anyone fancy sharing an splitting the cost? If not I'll call up on Monday and get it booked up. Just got to get the car finished now....!

Gentlemen, how does the test day work? I see it's not OPL but 3 x 40 min, plus 1 x 30 min sessions. Does everybody go out in these sessions at the same time, or do we get slots? Don't fancy mixing it up with some pro race drivers on my virgin shakedown whilst running in a new engine!

You have your sessions and you can go in and out as you want in that session
The other group (session) will probably be open wheel cars

Just pick you times
Lots will go out straight away...but dont hang around too much as silver stone of has lots of stoppages as cars go off and or breakdown

Don't worry mate I'll be in exactly the same boat so we can just go round as a pair at 30mph hugging the sides...

Has anybody else got a garage that they haven't "shared" yet? If not, I'll get one booked, as we're gonna need one for oil changes and tinkering.

Mark, I think Bill has booked to go and I believe he's booked a garage - As we're both using Steve Howard it may be a good idea if you take my place in Dave's garage and I split with Bill... Just need to check if Bill has actually booked one...

Just a snippet of info, Silverstone have confirmed that those who are in garages for testing on Friday can occupy them from about 7.00pm on Thursday evening and can stay in them for the weekend and will not have to move on the Saturday. (as per last year)

Mike i'm also after a garage but not sure if there are any left! I will contact the circuit and let you know!
