Alright guys,

Just picked up one of these on friday, here is the original ad: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cac...

Havn't got any photos as of yet, will get some soon hopefully.

It's got some slightly rusty arches, luckily not too bad and definitely salvageable easily.
It's also in dire need of an oil change and has a rather meaty crack in the exhaust so that's a few jobs to get started with!

Driving wise I am genuinely surprised, it has a decent turn of speed but the handling is absolutely superb, the whole car just feels very tight overall and turn in is brilliant. For a boxy old nissan shed, it is superb. biggrin

It is the GT LE so has full leather interior, AC etc. Interior is immaculate and unlike Nissans normally it's actually pretty good looking.

I intend to do a few jobs on this car (driveshafts, cv replacement, rust etc) mostly addressing points which were advisories on the last MOT as I have a feeling this car may last be quite a while if looked after.

Will get some photos within the week hopefully,

Used to have a '98 Primera GT hatch, got it at 70,000 miles in 2004 and got rid of it last year at 230,000 miles. smile

I have the 144 se+ and it has to be the best car I have owned. £750, 28k miles and two years on, with only routine maintenance and replacement of part of the exhaust and front driver suspension bracket, it has served me well.

Only just run in with 100k on the clock too. biggrin

These cars seem to be a buy and drive till it's scrapped kinda deal for alot of people! If I can get the rust sorted I think I'm onto a winner with this car.

Were the BTCC cars ever in red?

Oh my that red car is rather interesting,

Whilst I want to keep it simple, I do keep looking at SR20VE engines on ebay and it is a fairly straightforward swap...

Maybe I should concentrate on making it a bit healthier first wink

I can imagine it'd be a great roadtrip car, comfty as and mine is pulling 37mpg right now and I am driving the bks off it.

Not technically works, but it's a P11.

This car gets mentioned a lot by PHers. Out of interest where does it rust apart from wheel arches?

I've got a '97 GT and absolutely love it, for the money I can't think of anything that is as practical and reliable while still being a hoot to drive. Unfortunately the original link doesn't work, have you any pics?

Rad support at the front can go rotten and I've seen a few on the Primera owner's club with holed chassis legs but they aren't too bad.

My Mum had a white P10 GT in the 90's. fantastic car. Sadly she wrote it off.
