Hi all,

I want to buy an Omega PO and they retail about £3950 with the grey bezel. I was going to buy from Beaver Brooks but they said Omega don't offer room for discounts.

Where else can I buy this watch from with a good discount?

I should mention it will be using the 0% finance deals.

Thanks.

Unlikely to get a discount on a 0% deal...

If you can live without the 0% finance, I would speak to Dom H - he offered me avery nice price on that exact model (well the one with the orange numbers at 6,9 & 12).

Am looking to get another PO myself and would like a 0% deal, but this means paying the full RRP. Might be tempted to go down the "preowned" route again simply to beat the initial depreciation etc.

As others have said, interest free pretty well always means paying full price.

Pre-owned is generally the smart option, but if it has to be new Dominic's your man.

Yep interest free you will not get a discount. I recently purchased a Speedy Moon Watch and if I actually paid for it in full instead of the interest free, the Omega Boutique would have given £200 off the price.

It may not help but they are considerably cheaper in the Omega Authorised Dealers in the Canaries (Over 1k cheaper).

How much is the retail price on that?

I bought one recently for £3150 in the UK direct from a dealer via a certain well known person on here! I used a credit card with 0% on purchases for 15 months as you wouldn't get dealer finance with this level of discount.

If you end up wanting to pay cash and wanting to buy from a authorised dealer give me a shout and I'll see what deal we can come too!

Someone on the Watches board has a £4k voucher for Ernest Jones which would bag one - I think he wants £3k for it.

I bought my PO from Beaverbrooks ( albeit four years ago ) on the 0% finance. Couldn't get a direct discount but I did wangle a £160 ring for my wife.
This didn't cost them £160 of course.

I got my PO on a 0% deal. I said to them that I'd buy the watch if they threw in a rubber strap too. They did.

I guess you have worked out that the discount they could have offered you pays for the the finance they are taking the hit on? It's one or the other genrally! Somone has to pay for the 0% deal.

The chap who said get a 0% credit card... if you've got the discipline, that might work although it'll cost them 3% or so for you to use the card in the first place which comes off what tyhey could offer you!

I managed to negotiate a 10% discount on Seamaster Aqua Terra from an Omega Boutique… it can be done… but you'll probably save even more money by talking to Dom H. biggrin

I got 17% off an Omega Seamaster without even trying and then used my Signet Voucher to pay for it. Everyone who says you can't do this or that is talking out of their rectum. Just keep trying till you can.
