Just sold my old superbike, year 2000 Yamaha R1 which I "semi pimped" .... picture below! Have had this since 7 years I think...!

New Yamaha R1 got delivered just over a week ago and have already started pimping! Have had at collection put on already:

Akrapovic End Cans with baffles removed...
Smaller Tinted Screen
Crash Protectors
Tail Tidy

Major pimping happening over next two days so thought I'd post up before & after pics...!

Tomorrow am wrapping the bike in Satin Black (same colour as my old Bentley Continental GT!).

Then am putting on gold mirror stickers to replace old decals.
Gold CRG Brake & Clutch Levers
Gold Giles Rearset installed
Gold Rizoma Lux Grips on handlebar
Gold rear passenger pegs
Gold Ligitech Fuel Cap lid
Gold pro bolt engine case bolts
Gold pro bolt body screws (all screws/nuts/bolts on bike basically!)
Small (half size) one line numberplate

All will be finished and completed by Thursday evening! And yes I will adding gold chrome "Gulzar Edition" stickers to the bike.......!!!!! It would be wrong not to?!!?!? lol!

I like the current white on gold colour scheme more than the thought of black and gold. Mainly because black gold makes me think of this; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWF-hH1nloohehe

Looking forward to the seeing the finished bike though smile

Hope you're wearing your asbestos undercrackers when the BB lot start their torrent of abuse hehe

You could have at least chosen something ugly, like a Honda.

Gulzar plus R1.

This will not end well when the rest of BB see this.

Gulzar, I actually implore you. Please leave this as it is. One of the best looking sports bikes ever made and therefore literally nothing you can do to it will improve it.

Not sure if serious?

If serious its the part of the tyre you haven't used because you haven't leant the bike far enough over through corners.
I.e you are a chicken for not going fast enough to use all the tyre.

If you are not serious ready the whoosh parrot boxedin

That would be a reference to the unused area on the tyre shoulder (i.e how far you aren't leaning it over when cornering).

As to the rest of the bike, I've nothing nice to say about what you intend to do to it, so I shall leave it at that.

You could always take a look at |||N30|||s BMW if you want some more tips on how to modify it to suit your taste smile

Hence my first post saying "I know it's a new bike"
As in I wouldn't expect you to have zero chicken strips yet.

Will it be tracked or is it a poser bike first and foremost?
