chewing tobacco ! is there a more disgusting thing?
Discussion
I agree, its pretty disgusting. There is an habit around the indian sub-continent of chewing tobacco (its called paan). It leaves teeth and mouth very red.
When i visited some parts of northern India, the floor was red and the walls of buildings were red up until waist height. This is where people chewing paan would spit out red saliva everywhere. Totally disgusting.
The only thing worse is a chap who i had the misfortune to work with. He would regularly put his hands down his trousers (front or back, whichever took his fancy) and had a good scratch/fiddle. On removing his hand, he would give it a really good sniff.
I would rather crawl across a paan stained floor than spend an afternoon with him again.

Bloke I know is in the tobacco industry and always has a little 'stash' of these tobacco 'pouches' which he brings out on the beers, which they sell tin Scandinavia. It's like a little teabag and you just put it in your mouth and rest it against your gums and forget about it. Gets you high as a kite!!

The pouches have bits of fibreglass in them (so I was told) which basically cuts your gums to let the tobacco get into your system quicker. Over time it destroys the gum above your front teeth because of the constant wearing away.hornetrider said:
