Is that not an MOT failure not having an orange bulk as there is no orange lens?

No. The rears are the same as the fronts on my car, ie they have silver bulbs. So long as they flash orange I'm sure it'll be fine. Probably.

I think you'll find it has to give orange light, and a silvered indicator bulb does.

Phillips do their 'SilverVision' line which I've always used, Osram have a their version which actually looks a little blue before it turns on, do not buy a cheap pair off ebay - some have actually been painted rather than coated! This leads to them getting hot and going bang - I've seen it happen.

I have some silvertec bulbs left from a previous car was going to put them on the monaro but it looked bit of a pain to get to the indicators.

How big/hard a job any tips ?

The front bulbs in the Monaro are offset pin, check this as if you get the opposite pin version they will not fit!

I got Silvatec ones for the front, and have yet to do the side repeaters.

It is a fiddly job, but here's a brief how to.

Open bonnet.
Remove cover on front of engine (lays over slam panel) - easy to do remove 5 push fit clips
On pass side, remove the little flap by the headlight, has one screw in it.
This is where it gets fiddly, as you now need to remove the bulb, I found it best to remove the back of the dipped beam access first as it gives slightly more room. Then the indicator bulb twists out. I found it best to remove the wiring first then twist and remove, and swap bulbs. Refit is reverse of removal.

Driver's sdie you will need to move (but not disconnect) the battery. However thought a plastic clamp on this is a good idea needs shooting.
Once battery moved, you can access the indicator bulb, no need to remove wire or other parts of light this time, simply twist out and change bulb.
Securing the battery was the hardest part here, but still not exactly difficult, just needs to be done properly!
