I got stuck on the M6 today. In a moment of boredom I invented a new game- all Fords tend to have 0000 as their code to pair the Bluetooth with your phone. Simply look for Ford Audio, pair it up and make a random call to a family member. Hilarous!

Land Rovers are also 0000. The confusion is priceless, highly recommended.

It does give you the potential to call someone who cuts you up in traffic. Whether this is a good thing or not is debatable.

Back when I was selling Fords we used to play with them all the time. I used to bond my phone up to another guys car at some point during the day then as we both lived in the same direction follow him up the road on the way home. I had my mates mobile number saved under home on my phone hoping the other salesman would try to call his wife to say he was on his way home and have the phone answered by a man.

Im going to try that it sounds ace!

Only similar thing that ever happened to me is I was stuck on the M1 next to someone who had the same frequency on his mp3 transmitter as mine. My Ozzy Ozbourne kept getting traded for something awful, think it may have been Phil Collins. I hope he got my Ozzy in his car!

Is it Fiats that come up as "my car". I noticed this the other day when trying to pair a relatives phone to their car whilst stuck in traffic.

Funny idea.

Basically you initiate the call using the phone handset but you are doing it in their behalf. They will hear it ring, they will hear it when the person you dialled answers and they will be able to have a conversation with them. They will not understand how or why they are having the conversation. Best bit is you can watch it happen from a distance.

One could conceivably make an app that looked for bluetooth systems with guessable passphrases, paired with them, then played a selection of amusing audio tracks at them.

Only issue with this - Isn't the range on bluetooth has a range of about 20ft, so the chances of finding one near you are pretty slim!
