Sadly for the druids and pagans among you, I wont be able to arrange a meeting at the Summer Solstice on the 21st of June as hoped. I will be in Southern Spain, on annual holiday (not indulging in my alleged passion for Nissan ****** Micra hire cars before anyone says)

If the druids and pagans, do want some form of ritual on the 21st/22nd, then please step forward and arrange?

As the service last time was very slow, an hour to take order and have one course on the table, my thoughts are:

1. We order now in the hope the food arrives on time.
2. We agree a limited menu of either burgers and chips ( or virgin with mayonnaise for the said druids and pagans) and a vegi option, and order in advance with a feeding time of say 8?
3. We all meet up and have a coffee or drink, go up the military road wait at the car park and then back and into Glasgow to Pardeep's for say a 9.30 curry?
4. Other options?
5. This time we will pay per table or people pay their drinks when they arrive, as despite many giving extra cash we were 10p over as compared to the bill!

I appreciate giving people a choice isn't good for organisation or certainty. Uncle Benito was right on that. However, I will at least pretend to give people a say!

Paul

I like Tony's version. The more driving done while we can in the evening the better.

Tony, has your Focus with the 'ST' letters written into the dust, made you into a chav? If we do this will you wear a baseball cap and say 'like' inappropriately 4 times in every sentence?

We need to talk........

I think a preordered menu to be ready for 7.30-8ish would be best.

Maybe book a larger table so we can all get there and be seated together.

Or go for a drive and was back for curry..

Tony, I'll say nice things at your funeral, shame you had to commit 3 bullet suicide.. frown

Could i suggest a meeting point at the hotel glasgow side of aberfoyle, run up over dukes pass and into callander for al fresco dining in the car park at the river (food from chippie next door) or eat in one of pubs in village, either way plenty of time for food/chat followed by run over dukes pass and possibly on through aberfoyle, thornhill, kippen fintry kilsyth where everybody heads east west. could skip run before after for more chat/food time?

I will try my very best to be at this one again, hopefully in my own rust bucket this time.

Happy to go with the flow with the plans, Another burger in Duck Bay would be lovely (I might even go for a manly burger this time) And coke with ice!!!

That'll do for me. Saves me throwing my can of Red Bull at your car using my powerful build whilst regaling you with tales of the companies, of which, I am a director then going away to smash the back doors in of (insert name of fantasy figure of choice here)! hehe

Most PH standard expressions covered, I think

You forgot goatee and mx5, and all diesels eat turbos, dpfs, dmf's, injectors at every service and Paul got overtaken by a micra.

Otherwise most points covered.

On topic,

Could it be curry then drive or drive then curry, or drive and McD's to keep Tony happy?

Oh the shame of forgetting the remapped 335d that'll devour Italian or German exotica(is there such a thing?). wink

Serious stuff follows now;

I only suggested the McDs thing to give us as much car-gawping, run and blether time as a group possible. Our Autumn/Winter/Spring get-togethers where we shelter indoors from the wind/rain/hail/snow/polar bears are where we can discuss our stamp collections, Meguiars versus AutoGlym, what a lucky st jsteele really is, look at my photos of various sadistic ways to terminate a Nissan fking Micra.

Ok. How about if I ask if I can open the Inveruglas coffee shop back up at 6:30pm then we could drive to the car park and head into Glasgow for a curry? biggrin
