Hello all!
After looking at this site for a few weeks now, I thought it about time I joined...
I am sure that I will need advice once I get started on fettling the car!
I have recently purchased a decatted red S3c from s3paulo in Stourbridge, whom I have to say is a top man!
He had owned the car for eight years and had a lot of fun and enjoyment from it and I think he was very reluctant to let it go.
However, apart from driving it around and listening to the lovely noise it makes, over a period of time it will get a few new parts and some general tidying, as I am sure most do, but the car is generally sound.
This is not my first TVR as many years ago I had a 350 which from memory leaked like a sieve! I,ve also had half a dozen Scimitars including a Middlebridge with a 2.9 V6. A friend has had one of these from new and next time I see him I will look at the cooling system, just to see....
May I say, judging from the posts I have viewed, how friendly everyone seems on here (not like some other car clubs)and I look forward to meeting some of you in due course.
Regards Chris

Hi Chris, and welcome to, as you say the friendliest bunch of car enthusiasts around.
You are not too far from Shelsley Walsh, Tenbury Wells where a few of us meet for breakfast on one sunday a month, ( check out the link for details) along with an example of almost every other interesting car you can imagine, this sunday 16th is the next one actually but several "S" owners are off to Newark Kitcar show this weekend and mine is in bits, for painting, but will try to get there if I can get things sorted tonight/ tomorrow.
If you have not already looked through the calendar of events at the top of the main menu in "S" series, then feel free to join any of the events, its always good to see more TVR's as every one is different, as you know.
With your experience with TVR and Scimitar your knowledge will be of use to all of us, as much as we can help you I expect.
When you can update with a TVR photo in your profile, it helps to identify you out in the wild.

Banter and insults here on S forum.
By the bucket load and what makes it the best place to come. And if not already on, have a look at the S location map thread in the wiki section.
See you at an event soon.
Hi Chris
Lost of fellow S owners just a short ride away from you and we tend to get out and about as often as we can. As has been said Shelsley breakfast club seems to be our regular meet. Mine's in for a new Hood so I won't be there on Sunday.
If you need anything then just ask. Someone will have already had the same problem and fixed it somehow, or we will all have the same problem anyway and can sympathise.

Hello Chris, welcome.
You've come to the right place for everything S related. Don't be afraid to ask for help (after checking the FAQ's at the top of the forum first just in case it's been asked before) your sure to find the answer here or excite some of the long serving forum 'gurus' who love a problem to solve that they've not encountered before!
Although reading your post again it looks as though your experience of past cars will stand you in good stead for life with the S.

feel free to ask any question you want apart from the one about the…………

Chris - Welcome along - I've had my S for just about a year and you will indeed find a mine of expertise and information on here. The engineering expertise on here and ability to innovate and engineer solutions on some of the slightly non-standard versions being produced (you know who you are) as well as the ability to polish and stainless things you never thought possible will astound you. I'd definitley advise getting to some shows and events to put some names to the faces - they're just as friendly in the real world as the virtual.

Welcome to the team, for the first month you will be on tea making duty for the whole forum, but I am sure you will fit in - "Great choice in your new car sir"
