Please tell me i am not the only on suffering last minute car based dramas ahead of their le mans departure?

for me i think there are only 2 possible outcomes at the moment :

1)Car is running but stopping every 10 miles to fettle and therefore taking away any joy from the drive.
2)End up going in the stter and generally being miserable!

Anyone else in the same boat? biggrin

1. TVR Chimaera fully prepped and ready to go then driven into by local blonde bimbo mad
2. First loan car arrives (60 plate Mercedes E250) and promptly puts it's check engine light on mad
3. Second loan car arrives (13 plate C250 estate) and I can't get cover for it out of UK as it is owned by an accident management company mad

Now booked on Eurostar and TGV but will be getting driven home after drinking a truly substantial amount of beer yes

Couldn't make it up biggrin

I have had a string of bad luck with my TT.
A full suspension rebuild after a tie bar failure and lots of little other mechanical gremlins over the past couple of weeks.
Hopefully all is well and it wont be coming home on a recovery truck.

The picture above was on Friday morning in bits, also had a panic trying to find wheel spacers at the last minute to clear the new coilovers.

Some good ones there. Mines current minus an exhaust manifold which was trashed when trying to swap the exhaust system Saturday. New supercharger setup that I'd just got nailed will now be a new install again meaning that unless I am lucky the belts going to be jumping and I'm going to have to adjust the charger by the road. I have 3 new belts in preparation of it eating a couple whilst its sorted out....

How big are the spacers you need mate?

Minor issue with my car which is on long term rental and the robbing swines want £120 to take it out of the country. I can get cover on my business policy, but that's putting the monthly cost up which is insane. Boss is out until Tuesday....

Will no doubt get sorted, otherwise I'll be taking the Merc, which my other half does not want to do as it's better for dog duties.

Bloody complicated for what should be straightforward.

I messed up putting the sticker on my drivers door and had to rip it to pieces to get it off. Now the other door sticker is on the rear window and the sides are pretty bare... Pretty major problems compared to yours...

One year we were waiting on a courier to deliver a replacement diff we needed for the car we were taking, it arrived just a few hours before we were due to set off.
One of best trips involved a turbod capri that needed taking every hour...prior to stting its self in France.

I managed to get Forge 11mm front and TPI 20mm rear, only managed to get 50mm wheel bolts of which I had to cut the 10 front ones to 40mm. would have preferred 15mm front and 25mm rear but that's all I could find locally.
Pleased with the result, but could have done without the last minute panic and expense.

Just hassle myself but it's stressing me out - wanted to be putting stickers on today!

Want to go in my new (to me) Elise but it's been an endless sequence of niggles culminating in the exhaust downpipe going on Thursday. Booked in to get it fixed yesterday but part is crap and does not fit so it's still on the ramp as Halfords and could possibly be there until Tuesday. I leave on Wednesday.

The backup plan is to take my MG but due to hassles with the Elise it's still on winter tyres which I'm not happy about so that needs sorting this week too just in case.

My Boxster engine has a bit of a vibration. I now have the IMS fear.

If you see a stranded blue Boxster with a number of confused chaps scratching their chins,,, HELP !!!!

Still I'm sure it'll be fine.
