Boring question time.

What's the concensus on the best insurance companies these days, been a few years since I last insured a Wedge?

I was amazed at how cheap they are. Great service and all on line. Also I didn't need to transfer any no claims bonus across, so now can happily run three cars - diesel daily hack, 4 seater convertible and TVR. My wife just doesn't seem to understand the logic?

TVR-CC membership did appear to make a difference, although I'm not sure by how much?

Well it all depends where you live and how old you are....Classic insurance companies normally expect you to only use it as a weekend and fair weather fighter..Limited miles with a garage.

Unfortunately i live in a high crime area and my wedge is my everyday car...Non-Garaged...Unlimited miles per year...National and international breakdown cover with windscreen cover....A fairly small excess all for £480 fully comp...Elephant.co...I used to be with Heritage who were ok but after two years they rejected my policy as the 280i was my only car...Which was somewhat strange as i had already declared that it was my only vehicle from the beginning, They also didn't like the garage address which again was strange as it was initially ok..This is actually the cheapest car insurance i have ever had where i live, I used to pay £1300 for TPFT for a Rover GSi420...PONY!..Ziga

Point taken Mr Ziga. I live in the middle of no where, with a double garage and very limited use according to the policy. The roads around here are very quiet.....

Me too, £84! 3000 limited mileage, but as Mark said above it's a postcode lottery!

I believe I used Lancaster once before too, agreed value policy too.
As for age, hopefully 42 is seen as old enough that I can be trusted behind the wheel of a TVR? wink

The SEAC arrives next week.. I'm hoping for continued better weather as I have a few years of non-TVR ownership to blast out of my system! evil

Even with all the mods declared on the wee beastie "performance direct" costs £180 a year, 3k miles. I thought that was pretty darn good smile
