Any small cars with Cruise Control?
Discussion
Looking for a small car ideally in insurance groups 1-3 that has cruise control. Can't seem to find any. Do they exist???
Budget up to about £3k. Reliability/economy more important than style/age/mileage. OMG. Can't believe I just wrote that... turned 40 recently so must be getting old.
The excuse is that I'll be using it for a few months to sit on French motorways at exactly 135kph, hence cruise control, then will be handing it over to 19 year old goodlife junior in Jan/Feb, hence needing to be insurance group 1-3 if possible.

my brother has a corsa its on 54reg 1.3cdti does about 70mpg aint that slow for engine size group 3 on insurance
he had cruise control fitted a vaxual for just over 100quid including labour and parts
brillant bit of kit imo and was handy on 1400km drive to germany happily sat at 110mph all way there without missing a beat , am used to big german cars and was quite supprised by this to be fair

Is that the 90bhp version? I thought Vmax on those were 107mph. Quite surprised that it sat 110 comfortably.he had cruise control fitted a vaxual for just over 100quid including labour and parts

most vag cars can have cruise control fitted providing they have brake switches and pontemter in place which most newer ones do
around 40-45quid for stalk and around 5mins with vagcom to activate it which can be ownloaded free
Cost me about £80 to fit it to my ibiza. It is a bit more involved than you make out, and can involve soldering into the ECU. You also need the full version of VAG-COM, not the free one, but there are loads of people on forums who will help you out.around 40-45quid for stalk and around 5mins with vagcom to activate it which can be ownloaded free
For that matter, have you thought about a bass spec ibiza / arosa?

Great input. Hadn't thought of retro-fitting.
Yup, my mum's Smart Brabus Roadster has cruise control
