Tank destroyer? The proboscis on the front comes across the enemy tank at a 90 degree angle, the hook section slides over the gun barrel then rotates, thereby bending the main gun of the tank and rendering it useless!

I just made that up!

Think he means it uses an afterburning jet to blast the surface of a track away and expose any planted landmines.

Agree it does look a bit like a jet engine, but in that case why the hook and wouldn't it need to be tilted down a bit more?
