And I cant put my finger on the reason for this sudden urge.

There's just something that I like about an Orange (or black) Monster. It's like a moth to a flame. Maybe I yearn for something that I can use as a daily "beater"? They're good value new yet I'm still looking for a used example that I don’t need to worry about marking.

Before Christmas I didn’t even feel the need to wear a watch but if I find a cheap enough used Monster it will be my second watch purchase within two weeks. What’s wrong with me?

biggrin

Resale value is good. If you bought second hand then changed your mind, you'd be able to flog it for exactly what you paid.

Go for it, think I'm going to (although I've just purchased two seikos in the last few days!).

That was my thinking. Creation's prices are tempting too though. What's the buying process like with them? Do you need to pay an import duty?

If I go for a used example, what should I be looking to pay?

Nah, no import. Think shipping is free too.

Second hand, £95 was how much the last one on TZ sold for and that was considered cheap.

I'd buy new from Creation personally.

Not so. You are liable for import duty, but in reality its a relatively small percent of total parcels actually get caught.

OP, shipping is free or about £15 for express, which only takes a few days. I've had good experiences with Creation, as have many others on this forum.

I should have elaborated.

I've not heard of anyone who's got stung for import duty.

I belive he packages them, err, creatively! biggrin

At £95 used the price creation are charging is brilliant. Am I right in thinking they're going for £120?

If I were to be unlucky and get stung by customs, what would I expect to pay?

My black Monster, purchased through Creation with no issues whatsoever and didn't get caught with any duty charges -

Oh, watch buying after spending some time on this forum can become a bit of an illness, but it gets to us all after a while hehe

Get it done. You're not at the worrying stage yet.

But, having said that, I started off wanting a monster wink

Keep being drawn to monsters too. Can't decide between a monster and a Frankenmonster. Like tough looking divers watches / g-shocks so the Franken perhaps appeals more. Anyone on here got a Frankenmonster?
