I thought I would Post a few Pictures of my Corsa, I know alot of you won't like it but it does me proud and isn't slow to say the least!!

When I bought him back in May 09

Meet Monty:

Spec:
White
1995 LS 1.4 SPI
Just passed Mot 3 days ago
Tax till Spet 09
98,154miles
2 Prev Lady Owners
FSH - Just had major service

Sellers Pictures:

As soon as he was home it was time to get to work, I fitted a c20xe with an f20 out of an astra GTE inc Spax RSX coilovers, solid top mounts but I wanted to to look standard so i bought some mk2 golf winter steels

Engine made 151hp @ Flywheel + 149lbft

Then time for some better suspension with upgraded lbs springs

Thats how it stayed in 09 and i carried out a few track days

Then early 10 he changed again, first came full re-spray including new wings, bonnet and passenger door

Out came the old xe

During the mock engine build

The engine bay was then seam welded and painted

Parts back from powder coaters

Then underneath was done

On to the engine

Spec:

Block bored to 86.5mm, decked and under piston oil squirter's
z20let GM oil pump and modified pick up
All new gaskets GM
Glyco Bearings (Mains and big end)
ARP Head stud conversion
Cometic Headgasket
Kent vernier Pullys (letting me run XE inlet Cam)
New Forged Mahle pistons 86.5mm, Machined to lower the compression to 8.5:1
H-Beam Steel conrods
Lightened standard flywheel to 5.5kg
ARP Flywheel bolts
Quaife atb diff for the f28 (6speed)

Building back up

Back on the road and a few shows and trophies

At PV10 I won park n pose

Time for real brakes

Alcon 4-Pot Calipers without dust seals
Alcon 295mm 6 groove discs with bells
Ferodo DS3000 Track Pads
Alcon Fitting kit
Front wheel studs (M14 to go with the bells)
Wheel Nuts

Few Pictures of the kit:

A few inside shots and engine bay

Then I went to billing 10

Won best car of the stand and built not bought

Borrowed my friends racebox and had a play, best i got was

Fitted a rear whiteline anti roll bar

Then it was off to TVL at Combe but still no track action because of my radiator being too small (which was on order for 4 weeks at this point)

Then finally it comes

Time to see what power he makes

Final Figures for now due to "rubbish" map and exhaust being too small, these will be replaced soon

BHP @ Wheels 219.6bhp @ 6,004rpm
BHP @ Flywheel 260.6bhp @ 6,235rpm
Torque 243.1lbft @ 5,041rpm

The Graphs...

New map, changed over to genuine EDS while im still on small kkk16 turbo

Then it was off to combe action day

I managed a whole 2 laps before I got blacked flag for be to noisey which isn't the end of the world  I never actually noticed how noisy he was until then whoops!

A few pictures people took, cheers

Then Total Vauxhall came out

Time for some 1/4 action, on Saturday the 2nd Oct, me and a few friends went to a RWYB at shakespeare raceway! First time I have ever done 1/4 mile and I really enjoyed it was a great day.

I ran the car as I would everday, had 3/4 tank of fuel, normal pressures etc etc

My personal best was 12.9 @ 111mph

Which i was more than happy with as that was my first run of the day, but they seemed to get worse biggrin ah well i can work from this

Other times were:

13.2 @ 110mph
13.3 @ 110mph
13.1 @ 110mph

I seem to be consistent with the terminal speeds, i just need to get better at the launches smile

Few of the cars that went:

Astra VXR with stage 2 - Mid 14's

Mk3 Golf with 1.8 20v t - Mid 14's

Evo 9 FQ 400 - 12.6

200sx - 360 - engine failure frown

First run of the day vs the Evo 9

12.9 @ 111mph and 12.6 @ 107mph for the Evo, Damn 4wd...

Fantastic project, just a shame it's now too nice to be an all out trackday car.

Thankyou, I never wanted it to be a pure track car its more of a weekend toy! I can do trackdays and 1/4miles etc but I can also enjoying driving it on the road for me it ticks all the boxes which is the main thing!

epic build, love it.

Exhaust sounds very strange though, like a jet almost!

Cheers, yer its the tailpipe its internal diameter is too small, which is why its also only on 15-16psi of boost, I will be having a new one made in the new year and then back to the rollers smile

Look Amazing, fantastic project, I love fwd over powered turbo's lol, the wheel spin can be a bit mental/fun.

The EVO FQ400 did a 12.6, whilst you did a 12.9, its got to be mental for that

Thankyou, I do enjoy the "over powerful FWD" too its so childish but fun smile

Yer the evo had a terminal of 107.75mph and mine was 111.30mph so it proves that once mine gets the power down its pulling well, If I could get off the line better I would get lower times! A friend of mine ran 12.1 with very similar spec car and engine (only with high boost 22psi and r888 tyres) So my aim next year is to get mid-low 12's

It can get to 100 in 12 secs, yet the 0-100-0 is 60 secs? Are the brake pads made of butter or something?
