McDonald Brothers Racing in Lanchester have a very good rep.
A colleague of mine had real problems with a TVR after it was mapped by them so wouldn't recommend them.

Motorscope in Darlington are one of the best in the North East. Richard is very well respected.

MacDonald Racing don't do "mapping". They only do carb setups.

I use their rolling road for all my mapping but obviously I do the mapping myself. Their rollers are rated to 350bhp and they have always been fine for everything I have done.

I have seen and heard of nightmares from all rolling road places and I wouldn't trust anyone in the North East to map a car for me.

Good point. His TVR was on carbs at the time (old crossflow so very old TVR) so they just tried to set up the carbs. He is on engine management now hence the confusion.

Ive tried most of the rolling roads in NE and theres only two i was 100% happy with.
Marktune, Stokesley Ind Est. Stokeley.
Always busy, lots of rally/race car projects, you have to wait for a month to get seen but worth it (everyone who i've sent has had the job done PROPERLY.)

Dynobike, Malton.
For bikes or bike engined cars.
If you've got a bike engined kit car, this rolling road is highly recomended.

Would be interested in what ECU you are using as I am looking for a remap on a MBE 967

Horses for courses, depends on the set-up you have. No good going to a RR that does all its work with Injection and ECUs if you have a carb set-up (apart from the fact they rarely have any parts to interchange to see what improvements are possible).

I have used Motorscope and belive they would be good for ECU and injection work. Not so good with carburation IMHO. I used McDonalds in the past but won't again. I have used Bogg Brothers over the years, but again was not so impressed with the last visit.

My race car goes to Northalerton Tyre and Battery and their work is first class with the understanding of carburation I need. Highly recommended for tuning and fault finding.

It was an MBE ecu, i think it was a 967 (have now sold the car).
Mark has got the MBE software so will be able to do a map for you.
