I'm not being very lucky lately. Just found out one of my injectors has packed up, does anyone have any 90 pounders knocking about they could get to Mark at Rapid for tomorrow? If we don't get it fixed I cannot run.

What make & impedance are they? I have 2 no. 1000cc Delphi in the garage but they are low impedance.

I'll speak to Mark tomorrow to see if he's found one. Just thought I'd post on here as added insurance as I know you guys keep this sort of thing in your garages. Rest of the car is tip top with the new clutch and boost level. Fingers crossed!

Ive a full set of 750cc high impedance. 1000cc high impedance arent too common, even less so in high impedance, or are you using low's and a driver box ?

You'd need an exact match for them to be of any use. Very unusual for an injector to give trouble though.

I think Ive only ever seen a couple of genuinely faulty injectors in my life.

Cheers Stevie, I'll pass this on. It hasn't failed completely but isn't flowing correctly. I really want to run on Sat so I'm doing everything I can to ensure I do.

If you contact some of the Jap tuners. Evo guys, maybe soe Skyline or Supra tuners. Possible even Mark Shead ( MAD Developments, Cossie guy ), they could well have something suitable.

I assume yours are just a typical Bosch fitment ?

They will either be low impedance or side feed high impedance or top feed with the small JDM neck like the HKS. I used to sell the 1000cc to Sheady many moons ago. He may well have some but they will be low impedance to suit the Autronic.

fwiw I had a siemens/motec injector die not long after I had things installed. I think the 90lb wormus have is theirs as well.
Could be some dodgy recessionary product control on the go!

Paul I have had Mark @ rapid on the phone. The injectors you have are high impedance LS2 style so unfortunately the ones I have will be unsuitable.

From the Conversation I had with Mark he has tried pretty everywhere inc. places I suggested.

Mark has had the dud injector sonically cleaned and tested over night but no joy. From my understanding the spray pattern is all to cock.

That has been suggested but 60 pounders would be maxed out and I don't want to risk detonation, it just isn't worth it.

Yeah you rumbled me Stig, I got scared and bottled it

As Terry says, all the usual suspects have been contacted but we cannot get hold of any until Tuesday. Happy to run if you call wait until then otherwise I shall have to decline. I shall be watching Jez closely and hope he goes well
