Lovely looking car.

However why is it every 3 series owner has a real hang up over not owning a real M hehe
I don't have a hang up about owning an M3, if I wanted one I would buy one !

Likewise. I don't like left hand drive and they never (officially) made an E30 M3 touring.

Very nice! The clock is one of the best parts of the interior, its so retro!

Love the exhaust, it looks like it'll sound really nice... (i.e. sporty, not chavvy wink) don't know why I say that, it just looks 'right'!

It sounds superb, nice burble at low revs and a mighty growl at full chat smile

+ those arent M3 badges.... they are M badges....

And errr thats a 325 thats been fettled with by M sport boys. mine had the same badges.... and again they were fitted from new!

Fantastically good looking car btw. makes me want another so badly. Is it Dolphin grey? its hard to tell in teh shots, some look grey but other make me think it could be schwartz.

Dont tell anyone but the red one is actually an SE with factory fitted m-tech. Was lovely but unfortunatley was riddled with rust. i spent £500 and it still failed the MOT, i chucked the towel in and gave it away when i sold my black sport. It then re-appeared on here about 6months ago for £1395!!! I wont steal you thread posting up pics of my old sport. I miss it more than any other car i've had even the S3 frown It had a stainless system on it and make such an amazing noise from 3k upwards!

I think the Sports look better than M3s, anyway - obviously their rarity/purposefulness etc. make them more desirable, but in purely aesthetic terms, the Sport is better-looking.

I almost bought one once, didn't because it wasn't any faster than my Mk2 Golf GTI, and I was a bit put off by the fuel economy from the six. I wish I'd bought it now, just like I wish I'd never sold my Golf! There's something about German cars from that era that does it for me.

I'd lose the rear M badge, mine had one there (but was only a lowly iS! :P) and I think it looks much better without!

I just hope it wasn't the same muppet that put it on mine, idiot used bodyfiller for some reason!

edited cuz I can't speel so gudd

It's finished, I tip toed over this morning to pick it up smile

I had an hour with it and compiled a small snagging list, not a lot but small things that needed tweaking

I went back this afternoon and it was 95% done, all it needs is a valet inside so I decided to leave it till morning. Whilst I was there I met David Holmes and he was interested in showing it in his showroom 8)

The final price for all the work was excellent, I expected it being a lot more but was very surprised with the bill

So expect to see a new thread starting soon with the end product of 11 months work and a lot of time and money spent, I hope it's been worth it and I hope to show at a few shows next year, not concourse but just to see it on show will put a smile on my face smile

Thanks for all the replies and the positive feedback..............
