Im finding this track hard for some reason. I seem to have an issue with the 4th 5th and 6th corners.

whats this 08 viper everybody is useing is it the asr viper that you get given or are you buying a diffrent one

i'm quickest in a GT40 thats got to be worth somthing!!!#

Just set a 1:58, can improve that abit but can't be botherd right now.

I'm sure I can get under 2 mins, but I'm not really into this one like I did the first challenge. Oh well, can't win 'em all. or any!

It's worth posting a time though Pete, as you get points even if you finish down the order. Big for the scoring method Andy and Nessie!

Dimski, are you upgrading and tuning the Viper?
Without tuning it is a dog to drive.
I would safely say that the top times are not done with standard cars.
Also, there is an option that wasnt available to Vipers in FM2 that we have now. Check out all the upgrade options, you may be surprised what you find lol

Yep had a couple of laps in the viper and thought bks to fast times I'll try a car thats nice to drive instead.

Yes, but I blow at tuning, so I used a storefront set up.

Don't get me wrong, I know it's currently capable of a 1:58 or so (My 2.00.6xx lap wasn't great, and was only my 3rd lap) but it's not fun.

I may have a go at tuning it myself later, but by the looks of things I'm not the only one suffering understeer.

Anyway I'm still highish on the leaderboard, I'll just have to redeem myself next time! Or just spend 10-20 laps getting a 1.59/8, which should see me in a decent enough position until next race.

Well I'm using a SF tune but it is 4WD and turns in very nicely.
I'm just not as good as the top guys, but I do know the track quite well.
I lose out on the big straight because I sacrifice top speed for handling.

I struggled to get a clean lap and time doing it this week. Will try to get a few more laps in tomorrow or sunday.

The 4WD Viper (Oooh hear all the cries from the muscle car fans lol) is the new Dodge Charger and tops a lot of the leaderboards.
The best thing is it give people like me a chance who hate driving over powered rear wheel drive cars in this game.
Just imagine......a Viper that goes round corners lol

2.01.247 in the standard Macca F1 - so frustrating though because i can tell I could get another second or so off if i didn't make at least 1 mistake every lap!

I'm in the 1:58's now but not sure where I'm going to find any more time.

I like edgy cars that are either balanced or with a slightly tail happy bias - unfortunately - the Viper is neaither

Anyway - I might have an hour or so later to have a bash.

I'm not going to better my 2:03.3. Had another go today and got 2:03.6 from my R8, but I was running out of talent to do it. It turns out that the Viper ghost I've been chasing isn't the 2:03.3, it was a faster bad lap. I've spent all week wondering how the hell I keep up with it because it gets quite a way away around the first corner and keeps the lead for the rest of the lap. The time got discounted when I did a clean lap, but the bad lap ghost stays. It took me til today to work it out .
