Because Hendrick's gin is cheapest at Asda. I also go to Asda rather than Waitrose if I'm looking a bit rough.

The only pot noodle worth considering is Curry, but these tend to leave hours of stinking burps and a face/clothes that smell like a curry house kitchen until you have had a shower and a change of clothes.
Other than that, I see now point in Pot Noodles. Most of them are a flavourless representation on what they are supposed to be.

I bought one of these in Cough, Asda the other day, have yet to feel brave, or hungry enough to try it. I will report back.

get the noodles from the chinese supermarkets, got three in london and one in sandy on the a1 - some place between stevenage and peterborough, much better and full of nice flavours, you can even get some that come in pots

warning though

once you have tried them, you will not go back to the "pot noodles" brand smile

Costco stock a Mr Kimchi spicy noodle pot. More of a noodle soup, but really good. £6 a dozen. My kids love them.

This is very true.

I lived on these as a student when they were 25p a packet, and curiously enough, they still are.

Every so often I make the trip to Wing Yip on the Purley Way and stock up.

Those chinese noodles are crap. Pot Noodles are the way to go.
Only my opinion of course but your warning is a false prophecy wink

I agree, they are much better than pot noodle. I like Nisshin series. They are called "cup noodle"lick

There is also an unheard of brand of noodles that Saisnburys sell. Less to buy than a Pot Noodle for a start and miles tastier. The name passes me but they are a black waxed paper pot.

+10000000 (infact most of the population of Asia!)... They actually taste 'real' somehow... A few years back they seemed to me to be far more available on this side of the world in both oriental and European flavours - I even remember having one a a KLM flight to Singapore, which I'm ashamed to say is by far the best cattle class meal I've ever had! biggrin

I'm quite prepared to accept that my desire is based on nostalgia, but the desire and enjoyment is strong. Those asian crappy equivalents don't do it. Still yet to taste the doner kebab flavour frown

I like the sound of this.

I love doners and pot noodle chicken and mushroom, this sounds like a classic combo.

I also love doner meat pizzas. Hmmm!

Chicken and Mushroom Pot Noodles are a tasty snack. Or at least they used to be.

Thanks to the "nanny state" mentality, they reduced the salt in all the Pot Noodles. So they don't taste as good as they used to.

The result of this? Whenever I have one I have to add salt to it. And ironically I probably add more salt than the amount they took out... which kinda makes a complete mockery of the whole process! So much for the health of the nation...

How did this product come to market?

What product development team thought it would be a good idea to meld two of the most hideous culinary inventions since the dawn of time?

I know, lets create something that tastes hideous and has no nutritional value whatsoever. We won't market it, we'll just leave it to linger, in the supermarkets, ready to pounce on unsuspecting single men whilst they shop for bog roll and cheap toothpaste.

The fact that it sells is a damning indictment of the British public.
