my thread for voting got removed.
  • if a mod reads this* why???
It actually got moved to The Lounge - a less car-oriented sub-forum with probably more viewers methinks...

yes then got deleted.
apparently cross forum threads are frowned upon & I got a badly spelt email basically saying stop trying to drum up votes one thread is enough (ie this one)

A surprising result given the sprouts! Without them it would have got my vote too.

I was curiously drawn to this thread for some bizarre reason.
THis is not a meal this is something that comes out of you when you are ill.
I have all the cooking prowess of an eel, but even I could improve on this my simply doing nothing.!

why thankyou. my previous comp. effort was better, this wasn't my best in terms of presentation but can assure you it tasted good. in hindsight, cooking a rack a la cactussed would've been a better idea.

still, if you can beat it, then why not have a go next time?

Of course I can't beat it. I am heterosexual.
But for that very reason I wouldn't take a picture of a crap and enter it into this competition.

Unless by any freak chance your wins on the confusion vote in which case I shall vertainly be entering.

Are you here for any reason other than to be rude about something which someone has taken the time to prepare and which you profess you cannot better?

Constructive criticism is great, but calling someone's food vomitous then beating your heterosexual chest with a can opener and a tin of baked beans is hardly polite?

ETA: Nor is it likely to encourage future participation, which is the whole point of the exercise...

I've been following the cooking competion threads of late and have to say my vote has went to Cactussed on this occasion, although I do believe he is the best photographer in the competition as well wink

All the dishes sounded great, particularly liked Anna S's Pumpkin pot. Shirt, seeing as we can't taste the food, I do think a better photo would have helped with the votes but the pumpkin korrokes sounded nice.

Look forward to next weeks, some day I might join in, although my cooking skills are still a work in progress (I'll stick with soup for now)

I have a photographic studio here, so if you're really keen, send your food to me. You get a nice photo to help you win, and I get supper biggrin

its in the post!

am not arsed about bsr's comments, i don't recall him ever posting anything other than oh-so-cleverly crafted riposte.

katsu curry experiment is happening at the weekend - 2 recipes vs store-bought, 1 winner tba.

I vote for madbadger this time even though it won't let me. The sprouts put me off cactussed meal but the meat looked fantastic!

As for the comments from some guy I do not know .. feel free to enter next time if you are heterosexual enough.

Regards
Andy

I would hope he had, soon to be double winner of the PH cooking comp - that's a lot to smile about if you ask me.

Looking forward to the next competition, got a bit of spare time on my hands over the next week so gonna up my game and try and be a bit more experimental.
So when does voting close again?
