What I don't understand is they don't seem to be replacing all the characters that have died/ left.
We lost Connie and Ben at the end of last series, and in this series Malcolm and now Jo.
I suppose Ruth takes over what Connie would have done, and Tariq sort of replaces Malcolm, but that still leaves a gap and means that there are no junior case officers. From what I have read on other forums the BBC are not planning on introducing any more new characters this series.... very odd.

Dissapointing this one i thought
Part of what makes other episodes so "edge-of-the-seat" exciting is empathy for the characters in danger. I really didn't give a toss about those suits the terrorists put "on trial". Probably in part as they were utterly unconvincing actors
I also thought the whole 'Jo being accidentally shot by Ros' as unconvincing.

[pedant]The whole thing was desparately improbable; a through and through shot from a 9mm pistol round would have great difficulty piercing the breastbone even with jacketed ammo, a softnose round wouldn't even pass through the first body.[/pedant]
As regards the totty factor, I still pine for Sam who was inexplicably written out; she didn't even get the excitement of being shot. Carter's bird was pretty fit too. Also Duckface looked good playing the blairite apparatchik.
