I've got 10k i think, and i used to get 50 or so every other month on average, but don't think i've had anything back this year at all.
Should really put that money to work, but it's nice and safe, and has a minute chance of winning a million.
I'd probably describe it as the equivalent of a garden shed where you can leave stuff you want just to be lazy.

Tell me, when the 10 grand check arrived was it in the same sort of envelope that the 50 quid ones come in?
I emptied my so called 'high interest' savings account last July i now have 16k invested in these bonds. Ive won 4 times since then, all £25 cheques.
A £10,000 cheque eh....very nice

No, you don't get a cheque for high value prizes. They send you a form to fill in and then credit your bank account direct.Tell me, when the 10 grand check arrived was it in the same sort of envelope that the 50 quid ones come in?
