Think about what the watches will look like in a few years, I have friends with F1's that look rather like this :

Classy !
That's awesome. Love it.

The Sinn is very practical in that it would look good for most occasions, formal or casual. The TAG would look dorky with a suit or any sort of formal attire.

+1 I don't think that, as fashions change, this would get much wrist time in a few years. Rather OTT

You're not bothered I know, but that much money for a quartz movement?!

I'd go Sinn, but I'd go for the next model up on the used market personally.

I know someone with one of those, and not only does the bezel look very, very scruffy, but the bracelet doesn't wear its wabi at all well; the whole watch just looks tatty and sad, and not in a good way.

In fairness, the current F1s have metal bezels and little if no plastic in the construction. Still, a lot of money to pay for a quartz watch and I've heard getting battery replacements done 'officially' is a ridiculously expensive exercise.

It hasn't been metioned, but I'd rather buy a Monster and keep the rest of my money in my pocket. Automatic, waterproof, accurate (more so than any other automatic watch I've had or have) and such damned good value. Just my take on the matter, although I agree of that the two choices I'd go with Sinn any day.
