Post amazingly cool pictures of aircraft (Volume 1)

I found these on another forum - a bunch of pics from the show at Edwards AFB last weekend. Good quality and very thorough, worth a look!

Saw the Roivalk at Farnborough airshow some years back, did a very good display. Has the door gunner on that Lynx really got a bucket to catch his empties? On the subject of helicopters I was gutted this didn't fly when it was at Farnborough a few years back, apparently the display pilot couldn't get a visa.

Lovely looking machine, though not soo sure about the idea of explosive bolts on the rotors and an upward firing ejector seats. Those rotor blades are going to do serious damage to any mates you happen to have nearby.
I like this shot too

The particular setup for this was sound activated. The lens was destroyed (worth it of course) but the camera survived this one despite being severed from its ratchet straps and thrown to the ground, and the sound device used for this one disconnected from the camera and thrown about 200 feet backwards into the pad perimeter fence (still worked!). All settings are preset manually. No one is allowed closer than several miles from a launch.

What is the mission? The strap-on boosters look like they are liquid fueled rather than solid fueled.

Thanks.
A bit of research shows that the boosters are identical to the main central rocket - so they ARE liquid fueled.
Boeing are looking at using add-on Solid Boosters, apparently.
I always think liquid fueled rockets are so much more refined.

Aren't they the same as the Shuttle main engines? Rocketdyne - something?A bit of research shows that the boosters are identical to the main central rocket - so they ARE liquid fueled.
