Monaro - What mpg are people getting?

I haven't read the whole thread, so apologies if I'm repeating, but.....
FFS, if you have even the remotest qualoms about MPG, then why are you even vaguely considering a 6.0 V8-powered car? If MPG is an issue for you, then this is CATEGORICALLY the wrong car for you.
I've seen this time and time again - where do people get off thinking they can buy a performance car with a big petrol engine and get Prius mileage out of it?
MPG? Go find yourself a nice diesel Fabia which you can afford to run.

I don't think anyone in the thread really cares... I only wanted to know if it was much different to my RS.. because I can afford to run that now, but if it was 9 or something, i'd be thinking twice about looking for a 'Ro.FFS, if you have even the remotest qualoms about MPG, then why are you even vaguely considering a 6.0 V8-powered car? Also... it's good for a point of reference for what you should be getting, in case yours suddenly started using a lot more, because then you'd know there was something wrong!

so what was your mpg on the way back
An old post I know , I did notice on the Monaro the in car mpg figures are well off what the car does , mine shower mid 29 mpg on a long trip , real mpg full tank to full tank was 34 mpg , motorway speed of 70 mph , which does mean 70 as most cars read off by 3 or 4 miles an hour , and cruise control on , I was surprised it did so well , it was a 400 mile trip to Scotland , and it was a very comfortable drive , the figure was with a 3.9 diff and a number of tuning mods , which I thought would effect the mpg a lot more , sorry to drop the tone when I taken about fuel economy and a v8
Would agree that my Monaro speedo seems spot on, at least compared to sat nav and our radar equipment.
Stop / start I'd say ~ 18, 'on a run' ~27.
Average was normally around 24-25, but currently ~ 22 as I drive it on fewer long distance trips.
Le Mans round trip including lots of queueing, burnouts and avoid tolls route was normally averaging around 25.

It's surprising how economical these cars are. My S2000 used to average around 30mpg, so to be getting just 5 below that is impressive considering the engine is 3 times the size.
It's when doing constant stop start traffic that it's a different story, but on a run at least these are reasonable on fuel.

and a little bit of playing there
I seem to average between 20-23 with maybe 25-26 on a run.
